Transaction Fees

Fee Structure and Distribution

Platform fees are integral to the Basis ecosystem. Fees are platform-set by token type — creators cannot modify fee rates.

* Predict+ note: 1% of the 1.5% gross routes back into the prediction ecosystem — 0.95% to the winning pot (accuracy incentive) and 0.05% to the bounty pool (resolution incentive). Only the remaining 0.5% is the net platform fee that follows the standard distribution waterfall below.

Important: Fees vs. Price Appreciation

For Stable+ tokens: Trading fees do NOT inject into token liquidity. Price appreciation comes solely from slippage retention. Fees are distributed separately through the waterfall above.

For Floor+ tokens: A portion of fees contributes to raising the floor price, providing additional downside protection over time.

Surge Tax (Creator Option)

Creators can temporarily increase fees during hype cycles using the Surge Tax feature in the Dev Panel. Subject to a 7-day quota to prevent abuse.
