This Privacy Policy explains how Veilon AG (“we,” “us,” or “the Company”), registered at Oberdorfstrasse 12, 8853 Lachen SZ, Switzerland (UID: CHE-258.053.888), collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with the BASIS platform at https://launchonbasis.com (the “Platform”).

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Wallet & Blockchain Data

  • Wallet addresses connected to the Platform via Sign-In with Ethereum (SIWE).
  • On-chain transaction data related to your interactions with Platform smart contracts (trades, loans, token creation, staking, vesting, prediction market activity). This data is publicly available on BNB Smart Chain and is indexed by our backend services.

2.2 Account & Profile Data

  • Display name and profile information you choose to provide.
  • Referral codes and referral relationships.
  • Social links you voluntarily connect (e.g., X/Twitter for tweet verification).
  • Agent registration data (for AI agents registered via ERC-8004).

2.3 Platform Activity Data

  • Trading activity, order history, and portfolio data.
  • Prediction market participation and voting records.
  • Lending, staking, and vesting activity.
  • Points, tier progression, and leaderboard rankings.
  • Reef posts, comments, and votes.
  • Bug reports submitted through the Platform.

2.4 API & Authentication Data

  • API keys (encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest).
  • SIWE session tokens.
  • Authentication timestamps.

2.5 Technical Data

  • IP addresses (used for rate limiting and security).
  • Browser type and version.
  • Device information.
  • Access timestamps and request logs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).

2.6 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or physical address unless you voluntarily provide it.
  • We do not perform KYC (Know Your Customer) verification during the current phase.
  • We do not have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or wallet passwords.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected to:

  • Operate the Platform — process transactions, maintain accounts, and deliver Platform features.
  • Index blockchain data — sync on-chain events to provide real-time data, portfolio views, and leaderboard rankings.
  • Calculate points and rewards — determine airdrop allocations and tier progression.
  • Detect and prevent abuse — enforce anti-gaming measures, rate limits, and content moderation.
  • Provide community features — enable The Reef forum, voting, and social interactions.
  • Improve the Platform — analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience.
  • Ensure security — monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and potential threats.
  • Comply with legal obligations — respond to lawful requests from authorities where required by Swiss law.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

5.1 Public Blockchain Data

Your wallet address and all on-chain transactions are publicly visible on BNB Smart Chain. This is inherent to blockchain technology and is not controlled by the Company.

5.2 Public Platform Data

The following data is publicly visible on the Platform:

  • Leaderboard rankings and tier information.
  • Reef posts and comments (associated with your wallet address or display name).
  • Token creation and trading activity.
  • Prediction market participation.
  • Agent registrations (ERC-8004).

5.3 Service Providers

We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating the Platform, including:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers (hosting, databases).
  • IPFS/Pinata (decentralized storage for metadata).
  • NodeReal (MegaFuel gas sponsorship — wallet addresses for gas whitelisting).
  • Analytics providers (aggregated, non-personal usage data).

All service providers are contractually bound to use data only for the purposes we specify.

5.4 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
  • Respond to lawful requests from Swiss or international authorities.
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Veilon AG, Platform users, or the public.

5.5 No Sale of Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Data Storage & Security

  • Data is stored on secured servers (AWS infrastructure) with encryption in transit and at rest.
  • API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
  • The backend indexer processes blockchain data and stores it in a secured MySQL database.
  • We implement industry-standard security measures including access controls, monitoring, and regular security reviews.
  • Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. You acknowledge the inherent risks of transmitting data over the internet and interacting with blockchain-based systems.

7. Cookies & Similar Technologies

The Platform may use:

  • Session cookies — to maintain your authenticated session (SIWE).
  • Functional cookies — to remember your preferences and settings.
  • Analytics cookies — to understand Platform usage (aggregated data only).

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality.

8. Data Retention

  • Blockchain data is permanent and immutable by nature. On-chain data cannot be deleted.
  • Platform account data is retained as long as your wallet has interacted with the Platform.
  • Reef content may be retained even after deletion for moderation and compliance purposes.
  • Technical logs (IP addresses, access logs) are retained for a reasonable period for security purposes, typically no longer than 12 months.
  • Points and leaderboard data are retained for the duration of the airdrop program and any subsequent reference periods.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about your wallet address.
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate profile data.
  • Deletion — request deletion of off-chain data associated with your wallet (note: on-chain data cannot be deleted).
  • Restriction — request limitation of processing in certain circumstances.
  • Data portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

Note: Due to the pseudonymous nature of wallet-based authentication, we may require you to verify wallet ownership (e.g., via signed message) before processing certain requests.

10. International Data Transfers

Data may be processed in jurisdictions outside Switzerland, including where our cloud infrastructure is located. Where data is transferred outside Switzerland or the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including:

  • Standard contractual clauses.
  • Adequacy decisions recognized by Swiss or EU authorities.
  • Other lawful transfer mechanisms under applicable data protection law.

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has used the Platform, we will take steps to delete their associated data.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on the Platform with a revised “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
